Super League Gaming is seeking a passionate, proven leader to oversee the company’s Super League branded social media and community activities across platforms, including Discord, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, Facebook, Reddit, and more. In short, we are looking for a social media engagement Jedi who loves video games and esports!

You’re the ideal candidate if you have demonstrated repeated success in building and growing social media audiences using both established best practices and nuanced techniques that emerge as trends and algorithms change over time. While you may not have worked in the gaming industry, you have a deep knowledge of multiple video game titles, you love playing video games, you follow social accounts of gaming influencers and gaming companies, you are active in social and digital gamer communities, and you spend a lot of time in Discord.

You also understand what types of content resonate on social platforms and how to leverage social media content and conversation to drive brand affinity and to influence customer behavior in ways that support business objectives. You have experience balancing the needs for social platforms to serve as a source of customer acquisition, a support mechanism for customer service, and a distribution channel for information.

You will be responsible for setting and implementing the social media strategy across platforms through a disciplined approach that blends creative thinking with data-driven decision-making. You will be hands-on in your work as the publisher of content and the primary conduit to our community, while also collaborating with other members of the Marketing team, as well as the Creative, Editorial, Customer Support, and SuperLeagueTV studio teams.

Your success will depend upon your ability to be an authentic communicator who loves talking to gamers, loves learning about people, and loves building a connected and actively engaged social media community.

Responsibilities

  • Be a trusted public face and voice for Super League across social media platforms.
  • Manage content publishing and daily conversations on all Super League branded social media and community channels with a constant focus on high engagement and overall audience growth.
  • Promote company event and content offerings through social media content and direct player engagement.
  • Facilitate a positive dialog within the community while developing strong relationships with followers in order to excite players about Super League and our offers.
  • Serve as the primary moderator for our community while also building a support base of community moderators in order to scale your reach.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Editorial to ensure clear messaging across digital and social channels that encourages players to follow our accounts and join our Discord.
  • Create and implement an ambitious calendar of content and engagement campaigns including contests, promotions, and a rich slate of fun social media events.
  • Deliver weekly updates informing of player sentiment and content and campaign performance across all social media and community channels, inclusive of the use of social media publishing and reporting tools.
  • Collaborate with Creative and Editorial team members to produce shareable content (copy, images, video, graphics) designed to spur audience growth, increase engagement, and drive participation in our competitive gaming events.
  • Work with Customer Support and Marketing teams to address key player issues and enhance the player experience in our events.
  • Keep up with industry trends and key activities in competitive video gaming and esports to ensure our content and conversations are consistently relevant.
  • Maintain a constant understanding of social media best practices, including through the creation of direct relationships with account managers working for the social media platforms.
